Q: WHY DO I NEED A MAKEUP ARTIST VS DOING IT MYSELF?
1.You want to be pampered and feel special on your wedding day.
2. Perhaps you are feeling a bit overwhelmed by what style to go for and how best to apply make-up for the day?
3. You want the make-up to last all day and the pictures look flawless
4. You want to reduce your stress on the morning of the wedding
Q: WHAT SIZE WEDDING PARTY CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
I can accommodate any size party. I have a strong team of makeup artists so party size is not an issue.
Q: DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
I do require a 50% deposit to hold your date.The deposit is to assure you that BBUK is committed to your special day.
Q: DO YOU DO A BRIDAL MAKEUP TRIAL?
Yes, A trial will help ensure that you are happy with your makeup look before the big day. You don’t want to have to worry about that on the day of your wedding. Having your trial behind you, you can sit back and relax on your wedding day knowing that you love the look that you chose.
Q: WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TRIAL?
You can expect that your trial will last 1-2 hours. First, we will discuss all the details of your wedding – dresses, flowers, theme, etc. We will also discuss what makeup, if any, you wear on a regular basis. We will go over your ideas and what looks you were envisioning for your wedding day. We will look over any pictures that you have brought with you or have emailed to us. Once you have decided, we will start with the makeup application and tweak anything we need to. If your mother or bridesmaids would like a trial run as well, we can do it at the same appointment or schedule it when it is convenient to them at the same rate.
Q: WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE A TRIAL RUN FOR MY WEDDING DAY MAKEUP?
I suggest having a trial a month or two before, however this is up to you and what you feel most comfortable with.
Q: DO YOU TRAVEL? DO YOU CHARGE A TRAVEL FEE?
Travelling is part of my job so I am happy to travel wherever I am needed. We know that on a stressful day it is much easier for someone to come to you so that you can enjoy and relax on your special day. I do not charge a travel fee if your location is within a 10-mile radius of Cambridge.
Q: HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL? WHAT OTHER TRAVEL-RELATED EXPENSES WILL I NEED TO COVER?
I will travel as far as you need. Depending on how far I have to travel there may be an additional travel charge, hotel stay and expenses for the day.
Q: HOW WILL I TOUCH-UP MY LIPS OR FACE? CAN I GET THOSE PRODUCTS FROM YOU?
I suggest to all of my brides to have lipstick and powder with them throughout the day. Avoiding touching your face will make sure it lasts. However with eating,drinking and greeting guests some Makeup may need touching up.

Q: HOW SOON SHOULD I BOOK MY MAKEUP SERVICES?
Bookings are made sometimes a year in advance so the sooner, the better!!
Q: WHAT TYPES OF PRODUCTS DO YOU USE? ARE THEY GOOD FOR PHOTOGRAPHY?
I only use professional products in my kit. To name a few I use MAC, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Urban Decay, Anastasia Beverley Hills and many more. So are perfect for Weddings photography.
Q: HOW LONG WILL MY MAKEUP LAST?
will have to touch up with powder and lipstick throughout the day. Avoiding touching your face will make sure it lasts. However with eating,drinking and greeting guests some Makeup may need touching up. I can offer some tips to make sure it lasts.
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I CRY/SWEAT?
I have products that are suitable for oily skins. From foundation to mascara. Additionally I use a makeup fixing spray on every
Makeup application.
Q: WHAT IF I’M NOT USED TO WEARING MAKEUP?
You don’t have to wear a lot of makeup on your wedding day to look beautiful, it just needs to be applied correctly and with the appropriate products. If you don’t want to look too “made up” for your wedding, I can give you a very soft, natural bridal look. It is most important on this day that your makeup lasts, looks great in photographs, makes you feel beautiful and is applied flawlessly to make you feel and look your best on this very special day
I always work with each client to ensure she looks their absolute best. If you are unsure about makeup, we will work together to create a look that enhances your best features and plays down the areas you may not be as happy with. We don’t want you to feel that I've transformed you into someone no one recognizes anymore.
Q: I AM NOT SURE WHAT MAKEUP LOOK I WANT ON MY SPECIAL DAY. CAN YOU HELP?
Definitely. If you are not sure what you are wanting we would love to help. We try our best to ask a variety of questions in order to get an idea of what you may want. Remember, it is your wedding day so if you aren’t sure we will usually stick with something more natural. We can always start out that way and work our way to a more dramatic look.
Q: CAN YOU DUPLICATE A MAKEUP LOOK FROM PICTURES IN MAGAZINES?
We do our very best to duplicate makeup seen in magazines or social media sites such as Pinterest and Instagram as they are an excellent tool for both client and us as makeup artists.
Q: DO YOU PROVIDE ON-SITE SERVICES?
Yes we do! Why worry about getting yourself and all of your party shuffled around and off to the church on time when I can come to you?! All wedding day services are all done on-site and bridal previews can be done either in studio or on-site, depending on your location. I can come to the church, hotel, your home, or wherever you are most comfortable and is the most convenient for you and your wedding party!
